Oneiroi
Book Layout and Design

Oneiroi was a student project created under the supervision of SCAD professor Rhonda Arntsen. The assignment was to create a dynamic type piece in a print medium. I chose to make a book that contained 4 dreams that I had written in my journal in years past. The pages were made of velum in order to created a layered and hazy effect on the type and image simulating a dreamlike quality. At the beginning of each dream is a small pen and ink icon that I drew from the imagery of the dream. Accompanying the dream is side notes containing factual information about some of the people, place, and things that appear in the dreams.
