Viral Campaign / Print / HTML CSS / FLASH

1496k.com was a student project created under the supervision of SCAD professor Jorge Montero. The assignment was to create a viral ad campaign to educate people about the health risks of smoking and encourage them to not smoke. I chose to target current smokers and pursued them to quit. I used emotional pressure by focusing on the staggering number of loved ones left behind each year by smoking related deaths. The information was delivered though odd shaped print ad inserts that anyone could download and print off the web and insert to publication anywhere they are sold. The odd sized would hang out slightly drawing attention to the piece and direct them to a site with a Flash movie and more information about the risks of smoking and links to other organizations that could help smokers quit.
